Evidence mapping before practice
Effective interview preparation starts before the mock questions. We review the role and identify the examples most likely to demonstrate the required capabilities.
Preparation may cover:
- likely panel themes and behavioural questions;
- STAR-aligned examples from your experience;
- role-specific technical or leadership evidence;
- difficult questions, gaps or career transitions;
- concise opening and closing responses; and
- questions you may wish to ask the panel.
Realistic practice and specific feedback
During the session, you practise responses in a realistic interview format. Your coach provides direct feedback on relevance, structure, clarity, ownership, judgement and outcomes. The aim is not to memorise scripts, but to develop a reliable approach you can use when the panel changes the wording or asks a follow-up question.
Confidence built through preparation
Confidence comes from knowing your evidence and understanding how to communicate it. You leave with clearer examples, practical refinements and a plan for your remaining preparation. Coaching is adjusted for APS, EL or SES expectations and the format of the interview.
